Accredited SkyRuns are the steepest, roughest, highest mountain runs there are. Bright is a unique venue for SkyRunning and running in general, with trails connecting the centre of town directly to the high Alpine country in a way very few other Australian towns can do.
2017 will bring the Buffalo Stampede into its fourth year. Participants will head up to the iconic Mount Buffalo from the centre of Bright.
International Skyrunners from destinations around the globe attend this event, along with local entrants running their first trail runs ever. Each runner can choose their challenge by registering for the Ultra Skymarathon or the Skymarathon, or opt for the shorter but just as challenging courses in the Sky 26er and Vertical Sky12. Kids can join in too, with Kids Sky Sprints around Bright.
