You will be met by our professional driver at your pick up location to be transfered to your Hot Air Balloon ride.

As the day begins, you will experience a wonderful hot air balloon flight above the Atherton Tablelands, Australia.

After your flight and landing, enjoy games and lots of laughs as your pilot, crew and driver lead the fun of packing up your hot air balloon.

Your hot air balloon experience finish time varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise). Your driver can drop you back to your Cairns accommodation or, with prior notice, we can drop you off to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai or perhaps a Cairns cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements.

Stop At: Atherton Tablelands, Cairns, Queensland Australia

The Atherton Tablelands is the area over which we fly our hot air balloons. You will experience this area at dawn - the best time of the day to spot wallabies, kangaroos, many different species of birds, and other wildlife. In addition, you may fly over many different crops as The Tablelands are known for their fruit and vegetable produce. Keep an eye out for crops of mangoes, bananas, lychees, avocados, pineapples, limes and more.

What an amazing experience. We booked this adventure for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and actually did it on the day. From the moment of pick up we had a blast. Tony was an absolute cheeky character who hit it off well with my husband who is also cheeky. The bus ride to Mareeba was relaxing and upon arrival at the site to see the balloons being prepped was a great sight. Finally able to board and a little apprehensive, Frank (pilot) was amazing at making us all laugh with great knowledge and sense of humor. The flight itself was fantastic and nerves soon turned into wonder. Floating over homes, vineyards, farms etc was a sight to behold. Loved watching all the dogs barking at us as we flew over their yards. A drop of champers and juice to celebrate after landing and packing up was the icing on the cake. What an amazing professional and funny team. I would love to do it again. Highly recommend.

Just the whole experience at 80yrs and 77yrs old was fantastic. The guys were so entertaining from being picked up from hotel and driven up to Mareeba and the whole flight experience as well as helping to pack up the balloon at the end was brilliant. Then to top off with champagne and orange. Met some great young people and couples like ourselves. All round a brilliant morning

The professional and helpful service Frank, Brian and Tony gave us will be unforgettable. I will be highly recommending the balloon flight to family and friends, I will also be recommending the 3 amigos as I will think of them as that because they made us feel safe. I would also like to say thanks guys for all your help.

This has to be one of the best things we have ever done! From start to finish our dealings with this company were outstanding. The pick up was on time and the actual ride was nothing short of amazing! Our balloon pilot, Bob, and his ground crew were so friendly, informative and helpful! If you do nothing else in your life go ballooning with these guys! Complimentary champagne at the end was a bonus to the exhilarating experience we had! Thankyou so very much Hot Air Balloon Cairns for the great sunrise ride. It is a memory that will stay with us forever!

Fabulous trip very professional team lots of fun. Tony picked us up fro the hotel and entertained us with his great sense of humour. Bob was an excellent pilot and despite this being my first such trip ever felt very safe. Wonderful views over Atherton Tablelands on a perfect morning. Would highly recommend this tour.

I went hot air ballooning with my wife for my birthday. It was a great experience. From the moment we got closer to arrival and could see the balloon being assembled from our window. I knew it would be an amazing experience and it was much better then I thought it could possibly be. I recommend that everyone should experience this amazing opportunity we have to do this in beautiful tablelands.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The only downside was the 4am pick up from our hotel. But the early start was worth it. The other issue we had was the cloudy weather. Unfortunately no one has control over this. Despite the cloud cover the experience was very good. The balloon ride was tranquil and peaceful. Thanks to Hitoshi who picked us up from our hotel. He is a very professional driver and professional in everything he did during the morning. Thanks also to our pilot Bob who was a wealth of knowledge. And thanks to the other gentleman (sorry I have forgotten his name) who did much of the behind the scenes work. Another positive I’d like to mention here is that the team takes photos of the passengers throughout the flight. Digital copies of these photos are complimentary. This was the only activity we did in Cairns where there was no extra charge for photos. We were back in Cairns at around 9am. We highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting the Cairns area.
